When this happens we also include a link to the website, so that users may benefit from any extra traffic which may be viewing the portfolio at any given time. Our services are all designed to compliment each other. We offer web hosting for the sites we design and we offer design services to the sites we host. We also offer photographic services, for capturing that unique image required to set your website apart from the crowd and at a lot less cost than purchasing images which hold royalty fees. We also offer custom media such as dvd presentations, 2d and 3d animations and website pages designed on a temporary basis (rented), to display a presentation which may only be needed for a short time, negating the need for a full hosting package and domain name.
We now also specialise in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Domains, ecommerce, specialist php scripts, logo design, database driven websites and more. We can even offer a system to allow you to alter your website yourself, after the build has been completed, meaning less costs for you.

No, our images are not royalty free. We provide images for websites and for personal use, or framing as a print. Under no circumstances will our images go royalty free. They will be licensed to the person who requires them, and for the reason they state when ordering! We will take full action under the law to anyone using our images without licence. (Please note: This mainly applies to photography)

Q11 - How do I log into cPanel? ( Back to top )
To log into cPanel you will need to add the following to your normal domain name with us /cpanel . So for instance if your website was www.website.com, you would enter www.website.com/cpanel . You will then be promted to enter the username and password you were given when you signed up for your hosting account. For help logging in, resetting passwords, or entering cPanel before your new domain name has resolved (started working), please contact us for advice.

You will be given DNS (nameserver details), when you sign up for a hosting account with us. This will enable you to point your own domain name to our servers, and your account. Choosing a secure password is a matter of creating unlikely letter and number combinations. The more obscure your password, the tougher it will be to crack. Do NOT use words or phrases that have personal significance, as an attacker may have clues, and will certainly start with them. Mix letters, numbers and symbols, and use case sensitivity. With
pseudo-random alpha-numeric combination, it is almost impossible to
"crack" somebody's password. (i.e. instead of "password," try "pAsS34%(6*2woRd," etc.) The longer the better. Don't make a password that's less than 6-8
characters. Anything less can be deduced from brute force software.

Our servers are all incredibly fast Dual 2.4GHZ Xeon servers, and are all based in Dallas Texas. The servers are Linux based. We do not offer Windows servers at this time.

Yes all our hosting accounts are equipped with MySQL Databases. The number will depend on the package you have selected. Additional databases can be supplied if required. They are managed from within cPanel using phpmyadmin.

Our main support is offered through our Helpdesk system, which can be accessed by clicking on the support link at the top of every page. The Helpdesk will require you to register, but once you have done that you may raise a support ticket, and let us know what problems you are having. We also have our contact page, which you are free to use but the response is not as quick as using the helpdesk.

To get a website on the internet, first you will need a domain name. This is the name/address people will type in to access your website. PMC-Hosting & Design use www.UKreg.com & www.Misk.com , as they have fantastic service, and competitive pricing. FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol, and is a fast way to get files transferred to your hosting account, without loggin in through a browser and accessing your file manager. Programs such as cuteFTP and Flash FXP are readily available, and all accounts with us have multiple ftp accounts enabled. We do not allow anonymous ftp!

Yes we can offer phpBB support in many ways. Support for instalations, obtaining scripts, addons (mods) & functionality are free. We do charge for upgrading your phpBB forums to the latest versions if you can't do it yourself, and its dependant on the levels of modifications you have made, ie: time dependant. For some of our services you can pay monthly yes. Web Hosting services can be arranged monthly without any problem at all, and in most cases people go for this option. Web Design services are usually paid in full, but upon special arrangement we may accept a monthly payment schedule. Other services such as phpBB maintanance, and photography must be paid in full, unless they form part of a website design previously agreed.
